News  FlexStone™ Pavers "Win-Win" For Manhattan Terrace Project The choice of FlexStone™ pavers as a component of a recent renovation project at a Manhattan landmark building was a "win-win" situation for both client and specifier, according to Don Sussman, president of Town and Garden, Ltd., a well-known New York landscape design/build firm. Sussman said a number of surfacing products were considered for use on the 12th floor terrace outside the offices of Two Rivers Group Holdings' offices on Fifth Avenue. However, because of strict building code requirements, the irregular shape of the terrace and other considerations, FlexStone pavers, manufactured by Kamway Incorporated, were the clear choice.
"FlexStone pavers met all practical and aesthetic requirements of the project including light weight, broad availability of colors and finish and the fact that the pavers do not obstruct drainage," Sussman said, also noting that the pavers are easily moved and reinstalled to give access to the deck underlayment for inspection and maintenance. Sussman has worked with Kamway Incorporated on the surfacing aspects of numerous projects for nearly a decade. "Kamway has always been able to come up with solutions to the challenges we present," Sussman said.
